Using the Data Saver feature, you can save data usage on your Android device. Android devices have a Data saver feature that allows users to manage which apps can access mobile data in the background and foreground. Background apps take up a lot of data, so you must control their access to help save data usage. We will guide you through using Data Saver to save data usage on two common Android phone brands: Samsung (Galaxy) and Google Pixel.

  • Use Data Saver on Samsung devices: Go to Settings > Connections >Select Data usage > Data saver > Switch on Turn on it now and select Allowed to use data while Data Saver is on and select the apps > Select which app(s) to use mobile data and switch on the button next to the chosen app(s) for permission.

  • Use Data Saver on Google Pixel devices: Go to Settings > Select Network and Internet > Select Data Saver > Turn on Use Data Saver and select Unrestricted data > Select the app(s) you want to use for mobile data by switching on the button next to the app(s) for permission.
