Here’s a quick list of answers to the questions we get most.
Using the Data Saver feature, you can save data usage on your Android device. Android devices have a Data saver feature that allows users to manage which apps can access mobile data in the background and foreground. Background apps take up a lot of data, so you must control their access to help save data usage. We will guide you through using Data Saver to save data usage on two common Android phone brands: Samsung (Galaxy) and Google Pixel.
Use Data Saver on Samsung devices: Go to Settings > Connections >Select Data usage > Data saver > Switch on Turn on it now and select Allowed to use data while Data Saver is on and select the apps > Select which app(s) to use mobile data and switch on the button next to the chosen app(s) for permission.
Use Data Saver on Google Pixel devices: Go to Settings > Select Network and Internet > Select Data Saver > Turn on Use Data Saver and select Unrestricted data > Select the app(s) you want to use for mobile data by switching on the button next to the app(s) for permission.
If you have any further questions, you can contact our customer support team by chatting or sending an email.
Setting a mobile data limit is required to monitor your data usage. You can add the limit, set the billing cycle, set a warning notification before the limit hits, etc.
Below, we guide you through setting a data limit on your Android phone, divided by two popular phone brands: Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel.
For Samsung Galaxy devices: Go to Settings > Connections > Data usage > Ensure that Data saver is on > Select Billing cycle and data warning of your Teloka eSIM > Turn on (1) Set data warning and enter a specific number to set it up. For example, if your mobile data plan is 3GB, you can set the data warning at 2GB > Turn on (2) Set data limit and enter a specific number to set it up. Your mobile data will be turned off after usage reaches the specified limit.
For Google Pixel devices: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Select SIMs > Select Data warning & limit > Turn on (1) Set data warning, you can enter a specific number to set it up. For example, if your mobile data plan is 3GB, you can set the data warning at 2GB > Turn on (2) Set the data limit and enter a specific number to set it up. Your mobile data will be turned off after usage reaches the specified limit.
For any further questions, you can contact our customer support team via chatting or sending an email.
Most eSIMs have a limited validity time of usage (except those with unlimited data). Your eSIM will stop working either after the end date or running out of data before the validity date.
If you need more data than what is included in your eSIM plan, the best option is to top it up with the right amount of data or buy a new one. You can easily buy a new one on our website. If you want to top up your old one, please contact our customer support team via chat or email.
You can delete the eSIM from your device when:
Your plan is expired: You can see this from your account on the Teloka website or App. If there is still an active data package for your eSIM, please do not delete it from the device.
You no longer need it: Some eSIMs from Teloka can only be used once and can’t be topped up. If so, you can safely remove it.
Your new eSIM is for the same country/region: When you buy an eSIM from Teloka, you will receive a new eSIM each time. It's always best to start the installation on a clean slate to avoid confusion about which eSIM is in the device.
